MS/HS Bulletin October 30

There will be no afternoon ICU today.  If you are on ICU you will be expected Monday at 7:30.

The following need to pay the office $5 for Football Parents’ Night:  James T, Adam H, Hunter L, Keegan S, Carter J.  Tyler R, Brady G, Jack M, Steve F, Chris Z, Aaron S, Alexia M, Dustin F, Sarah S, Aubray H, Emily R, Maggie S, Hailey H, Jasmine S

The November FCCLA meeting will be on Tuesday, Nov. 3 during advisory in the FACS room.  Remember fruit sales are due on Tuesday as well!

There will be a meeting Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the library for 9th and 12th grade girls interested in participating in the Snow Queen Contest. 

Snow Queen Talent Competition forms are in the office. Forms need to be turn in to Mr. Swanson by Nov. 18. Those performing will have run-throughs on Monday, Nov. 23 at 3:30 PM. Preliminary cuts may be made if there is a large number of performers.

Saturday night the time will change.  Turn your clock back one hour. 

Monday's playoff game time vs Bridgewater-Emery-Ethan at Groton Area is 7pm!  GO TIGERS!!!  Again, student activity tickets and adult passes may not be used.  Student tickets are $5 and Adults are $7.

Students who are planning to register for dual credit courses this spring please meet with Dr. Schwan and Mrs. Sternhagen in Mrs. Honerman's classroom on Tuesday, November 3rd during advisory.

All 6th grade students will travel to the elementary today during advisory for the PAC Kindle give-away.  Please load the bus outside the office entrance quickly after 7th period.  You do not need to check into advisory--I will take attendance on the bus.

Picture retakes are Tuesday, November 3.

"The Mousetrap" Cast and Crew: Don't forget that we will begin set building on Saturday, October 31 at 10:00 am in the auditorium. Even if you can only help for a little bit on Saturday, please come out so we can get this put up soon!

Groton Community Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 31 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church parking lot.  There will be safe trick-or-treating and games from the trunk of decorated vehicles around the parking lot.  Concessions available in the church.  (Kiwanis is not doing a party at the gym this year.)

The Golden Living Center and Lions Club will be sponsoring a Trick or Treat party at the Golden Living Center on October 31 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.  All are welcome!

Grade 12:  Seniors will be taking the NCRC on Wednesday, November 4th either in the morning or afternoon in the conference room – a list was emailed to you. 
 
Grades 10-12:  Homework Help tutors needed to assist middle school students during advisory on Mondays and Wednesdays.  This is great volunteer experience.  Please see Mrs. Sternhagen to sign up to tutor.

Grade 9:  Please return your sheet to Mrs. Sternhagen.
 
Grades 11-12  ACT:  Registration for the December 12 test is due online by Nov. 6.   Register at www.actstudent.org   and pay with a credit card.  You will test in Aberdeen or Groton but be sure to list Groton as your home school.  Remember you must upload a photo to register and then print the admission ticket.  Fee waivers are available – stop by the GO.  Test dates are: October 24 and December 12.   ACT sign up help is available from Mrs. Sternhagen. 

Grades 11-12:  The following college representatives will be in the School Counseling Office to visit with students.  Please make arrangements with your teachers.
