MS/HS Bulletin October 27

All high schools boys who intend to play basketball this season should meet in Mr. Kjellsen's room at 3:15 on Wednesday.

Mrs. Gonsoir’s advisory will now meet in Mrs. Honerman’s classroom.

Advisory ICU will meet in Mrs. Gonsoir’s classroom.

Students who are planning to register for dual credit courses this spring please meet with Dr. Schwan and Mrs. Sternhagen in Mrs. Honerman's classroom on Tuesday, November 3rd during advisory.

All 6th grade students will travel to the elementary on Friday, October 30th during advisory for the PAC Kindle give-away.  Please load the bus outside the office entrance quickly after 7th period.  You do not need to check into advisory--I will take attendance on the bus.

"The Mousetrap" Cast and Crew: Don't forget that we will begin set building on Saturday, October 31 at 10:00 am in the auditorium. Even if you can only help for a little bit on Saturday, please come out so we can get this put up soon!

Today Groton will play Mobridge/Pollock in the first round of playoffs at 7:00 p.m. in Groton.  The game will be broadcast on 107.7.  Student Activity Tickets and Adult Passes may not be used at the game.  Ticket prices for students are $5 and adults are $7.

Groton Community Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 31 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church parking lot.  There will be safe trick-or-treating and games from the trunk of decorated vehicles around the parking lot.  Concessions available in the church.  (Kiwanis is not doing a party at the gym this year.)

The Golden Living Center and Lions Club will be sponsoring a Trick or Treat party at the Golden Living Center on October 31 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.  All are welcome!

Congratulations to Brody S and Marlee J for being selected as the 2015 Wendys High School Heisman School winners. 
 
Congratulations to Brody S for being selected as the GHS representative for the Prudential Volunteer scholarship competition.
  
 Grade 12:  Seniors will be taking the NCRC on Wednesday, November 4th either in the morning or afternoon in the conference room – a  list will be emailed to you.  Bring your computer (make sure it is charged)  a calculator, and a pencil.  Lunch count and attendance will be taken in the testing room.
 
Grades 10-12:  Homework Help tutors needed to assist middle school students during advisory on Mondays and Wednesdays.  This is great volunteer experience.  Please see Mrs. Sternhagen to sign up to tutor.
 
    
Grades 11-12:   ASVAB Testing is set for Thursday, October 29 in the morning.   The ASVAB is required for anyone entering the military but is also a great test for careers.   The following have requested to take the ASVAB:  Alex K, Dillon F, Nicklos M, Jack M, Nathan F, Joy Nay H.  Please see Mrs. Sternhagen about the ASVAB.
