This 3 day camp in June (usually at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell) is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills as you meet with students from across SD and with business leaders.
Grade 12 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards: If you have performed community service in the past year you may want to fill out this award/scholarship. One student will be recognized from Groton and will go on to compete statewide and possibly nationally. Go to http://spirit.prudential.com and click on “Apply Now”. MS/HS Bulletin October 14
Students--you must enter the school building through the
office entrance. Under no circumstances should you be banging on the
doors waiting for another student to open the door for you. In
addition, you should not be opening the door for non-staff
adults. Even if you leave campus for lunch you do not have permission
to enter through any door other than the main office entrance. If you
choose not to follow this policy you will lose open lunch privileges.

MS/HS Bulletin October 7
Based on the parade schedule it looks like we may finish before
12:15, but that isn't certain. With that in mind, we'll all have to be a
little flexible. Please see the tentative plan below:
9:50 2nd period teachers escort 2nd period students to Main Street.
11:45-12:15 Parade should end. If the parade ends before 12:15 students and teachers return to 4th period classes. This includes middle school band students. High School Band Students will not return until later. There will not be band class 4th period for middle school band students; they should report to their appropriate study hall. Middle School Chorus students should report to the Music Room.
12:15-12:45 All students report to the gym for lunch.
12:45 5th period resumes until the bell at 1:16 with 6th-8th periods as usual.
All boys golfers should meet in Mr. Kjellsen's room at 3:20 on Thursday. Bring your bags, shirts, and range finders.

Any students interested in debate should plan to attend an informational meeting in room 308, Mrs. Gonsoir's room, on Thursday, October 8 during advisory. If you cannot attend this meeting, please see Mrs. Gonsoir sometime before the meeting.
Student Council members, please check in with Dr. Schwan to let her know if you plan to attend the Regional Student Council Workshop on October 16th.
Dual credit registration for Spring opens November 16th. Please see Mrs. Sternhagen or Dr. Schwan with questions. Dual credit registrations must be submitted to Dr. Schwan by December 18.
The October FCCLA meeting will be Tuesday during advisory in the FACS room.
