MathCounts meets Tuesday morning, beginning at 7:45 a.m., in Mrs. Johnson's room #226.

"The Mousetrap" Cast and Crew: Don't forget that we will begin set
building on Saturday, October 31 at 10:00 am in the auditorium. Even if
you can only help for a little bit on Saturday, please come out so we
can get this put up soon!
"The Mousetrap" Cast - remember there is NO rehearsal this afternoon.
We will have rehearsal Tuesday at 7:00 am in the auditorium.
On Tuesday, Groton will play Mobridge/Pollock in the first round of
playoffs at 7:00 p.m. in Groton. The game will be broadcast on 107.7.
Lunch Line Order will change today – 1st Lunch 6, 8, 7 2nd Lunch 10, 9, 12, 11
Bonus points for attending Family Night will be available for
use in the 4th quarter. For those of you who were unable to attend,
opportunities will surface throughout the year to obtain bonus points
for the 4th quarter; stay tuned.
7th and 8th grade girls' basketball will begin today right after
school. Please sign up in Miss Erickson's room (Room 206) if you are
interested in playing.
Groton Community Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 31 from 4:00 –
6:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church parking lot. There will be safe
trick-or-treating and games from the trunk of decorated vehicles around
the parking lot. Concessions available in the
church. (Kiwanis is not doing a party at the gym this year.)
The Golden Living Center and Lions Club will be sponsoring a Trick or
Treat party at the Golden Living Center on October 31 from 6:00 – 7:30
p.m. All are welcome!
Dual credit registration for Spring opens November 16th. Please see
Mrs. Sternhagen or Dr. Schwan with questions. Dual credit registrations
must be submitted to Dr. Schwan by December 18.
Grades 11-12: ASVAB Testing is set for Thursday,
October 29 in the morning. The ASVAB is required for anyone entering

Grade 12: Legislative Page Program: Serve as a page
in the SD legislature for a two week window starting in January. Great
opportunity to learn about the legislative process and to meet students
from across SD. Must be recommended by a
legislator – due Nov. 16 Please see :

Grades 11-12 ACT: Registration for the December 12 test is due online by Nov. 6. Register at
www.actstudent.org and pay
with a credit card. You will test in Aberdeen or Groton but be sure to
list Groton as your home school. Remember you must upload a photo to
register and then print the admission ticket.
Fee waivers are available – stop by the GO. Test dates are: October 24
and December 12. ACT sign up help is available from Mrs. Sternhagen.
Grades 11-12: The following college representatives
will be in the School Counseling Office to visit with students. Please
make arrangements with your teachers.
