Students’ grades 8-12 are invited to the Brown County Teen Court Open House on Thursday, January 29 at 6:00 p.m. on the 3rd floor of the Brown County Courthouse.  There will be a mock trial demonstration.  Come and see what being a Teen Court Volunteer is all about.  Pizza and pop will be served. 

Grades 6-12:  The second quarter honor roll is posted outside the HS Counselor’s office.  Congratulations to all who made it!

Grade 11:  Please note the email sent to you by Mrs. Sternhagen on Thursday, January 22nd regarding the Dual Credit options for summer 2015.  The reduced tuition price will be in effect for students entering grade 12 in the fall of 2015.  These summer 2015 courses will count for college graduation but will not be part of your high school transcript nor count for you high school GPA.

Grade 12:  Summer University Program at Crazy Horse through USD.  This 8.5 week summer program at Crazy Horse allows students to enroll in college credit hours in math, English, Native American Studies, Life Skills and an internship.  It is recommended that applicants be between the ages 17-21 years, have a high school diploma or GED, and have a GPA of 2.5.  It is also required that you have an ACT score of 21.  Please see Mrs. Sternhagen. ICU will be held on Friday from 8:30-3:30.  If you are on the list you'll have the opportunity to work in school on Friday.  Remember--it's very easy to have the day off; get your work done!

There will be an FBLA meeting today, during advisory in Ms. Lingbeck’s classroom.   Check in with your advisory teacher prior to going to the meeting.

Please park in line with other cars in the parking lots.  Parking spaces are being wasted by improper parking!  Also, do not park so far down on the north and south ends, of the office parking lot, so cars cannot get to the exit. 

Good luck to the JH wrestlers at Aberdeen Central today.  You will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m.

Good luck to the Boys’ Basketball teams against Clark/Willow Lake tonight.  First game starts at 4:00.

Saturday Groton Boy’s will play Custer at the State Farm Pheasant Shoot-Out in Redfield at 4:30 p.m.  Pheasant Country 103 will broadcast the game.   All the games will be on ESPNaberdeen.com.  The 12:00 game will be on Sunny 97.7, and the 4:30 (Groton vs Custer) and 6:00 will be on Pheasant Country 103.
