MS/HS Bulletin November 12

All Senior Show Choir members meet in the band room during advisory.

Thanks to all of the students who participated in the food drive last night!  We collected ALOT of food and are going to be able to help those in our community!

Cast and Crew of "The Mousetrap" - rehearsal tomorrow (Friday) is at 3:30 pm. Everyone wanting to help with the crew needs to be there so that we can assign tech jobs and run the show. If you are unable to attend, please email Mrs. Honerman ASAP to let her know. Call time for Sunday's performance is 2:00 pm. Please be there to get everything ready for the show.

Reminder today is Parent/Teacher Conferences from 1:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the HS Gym.  School will be dismissed at 1:15 p.m.  As your parents come in the door they will receive your class schedule.  In order for you to get 10 bonus points they will need to have contact will all your teachers.   Parents do not need to visit with the teachers that you have an A in their class.  

No school tomorrow because of teacher inservice.

Grades 9-12 Girls Basketball meeting on Monday at 3:15 in Mr. Wanner’s classroom. 

Snow Queen Talent Competition forms are in the office. Forms need to be turn in to Mr. Swanson by Nov. 18. Those performing will have run-throughs on Monday, Nov. 23 at 3:30 PM. Preliminary cuts may be made if there is a large number of performers.

Table Talks will be on Tuesday, November 17. 

Pre-sale play tickets are available in the business office.  Student tickets are $4 and adults are $7.  The play will be on Sunday at 3:30 and again on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. 

ICU will again be held on November 13th from 8:00-2:00.  If you are on the ICU list on Thursday you will be expected to attend.

A flu shot clinic for grades 6-12 will be today in the high school nurses office.  Turn in your consent forms to the office.  The time of the shots will be announced at a later date.

Grade 12:  The Senior Scholarship Presentation will be held on Thursday, November 12 from 6:45 – 7:30 in the computer lab for you and your parents.  This will be a great chance to learn about the scholarship process and about Groton scholarships.  If you cannot come, I will bring the packets to English class and will talk with you throughout the year.  Invitations will be sent to your parents – if at all possible, please come to the presentation with your parents!

MS/HS Bulletin November 9

The Annual School-Wide Food Drive will be held this Wednesday, November 11 at 6:00.  Meet in the arena lobby to get into groups and get your routes.  Pizza and pop will be served after the food is collected!  All are welcome, please join us!!!!

"The sign up for the oral interp and debate contest on November 13-14 is on my door. Students please sign up by 3:00 PM on Wednesday!"

First Team was Joy H and Second Team was Lane W. Congratulations Boys!
James T was also 2nd team all-state in soccer!

Play practice today on the stage during advisory.  Please check in with your advisory teacher before heading to the stage.  Crew does not need to attend.

Pep Fest today, in the arena, for the football team for the semi-finals.  The band and cheerleaders will be dismissed at 2:45.  Students must go to advisory then will be dismissed by intercom.

Congratulations to the volleyball team on their win last night against Sisseton.  They play Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. against Milbank at Milbank.

Groton Area will be playing at 6pm (central time) in Winner on Saturday!  GO TIGERS!!!

Congratulations to the following MathCounts students for earning placement awards at Wednesday's Roncalli competition:
7th grade individual: Isaac S - 1st place medal

Cast and crew of Mousetrap, please meet with Dr. Schwan today right away at the beginning of advisory in the library conference room.  

Cast and Crew of "The Mousetrap" - rehearsal today (Thursday) has been changed to 4:30 PM. We will be working on the set, so everyone who is available, please stop by and help! We will be painting, so wear appropriate clothing. On Saturday, we will be working on the set at 10:00 am. Please be there to help so that we can get everything up!
