MS/HS Bulletin November 25

Student Bulletin

Honk! Cast – a reminder that rehearsal tonight is right after school. There will be a choreography rehearsal Monday, December 1 at 7:00 am. Anyone who was in the dance numbers will need to attend. Please ask if you have questions!

**Middle School students on the ineligibility list will no longer be required to stay until 4:00 UNLESS you are on the ICU list.  In that case you will follow the normal ICU protocol.  Be prepared, if you are on the list you will stay!

FBLA will be hosting a Frozen Semi-Formal, December 5th, for grades 9-12.  The formal will be in the Old Gym and from 9PM-12AM.  Couples $15, $10 for a single, and $20 for yourself and an out of town date.  Hope to see all of you there!

Football players need to turn in all equipment today.   You can turn them in during advisory.

Year books for 2015 can be pre-purchased at the cost of $50.00 up until December 19th.
After December 19th they will go up to $55.00
If you want your book personalized it is an extra $3.00

Basketball Under Armour Fleece Hoodies order forms are in the office.  There is a sample in the office.  Payment and order form are due December 1.

November is National Career Month. Check out the bulletin board across from Mrs. Kurtz’s room. Do you know what 6-12th grade staff member fits the description? Put your answers on the provided sheet and put the sheet in the completed envelope. A winner will be selected each week. A new set of staff have been put up on the bulletin board by Mrs. Kurtz’s room. Thank you!

NSU is having a Cheer Camp on December 6.  There is information on the bulletin board outside the office.

Please return all over due books to the library!

Congratulations to the GT Robotics students.  Three teams placed first, second, and third in Harrisburg on Saturday. 
MathCounts meets Tuesday morning, beginning at 7:45 a.m., in Mrs. Johnson's room #226.

Cast of Honk! It is vital that you are attending rehearsals ON TIME! If rehearsal starts at 7, that is when we need to start. Please be prompt and on time! If you are in the first song of the show, A Poultry Tale, you will need to attend an ADDITIONAL choreography practice on Monday at 7:00 AM. If you are unsure if this is you, ask Mrs. Honerman.
Cast of Honk! – if you are in the first song of the show, A Poultry Tale, you need to attend an ADDITIONAL choreography practice on Monday at 7:00 am. (This would be Alex K, Alec V, Gabbie K, Laura G, Erin S, Jerick H, and Sydney T). If you are in other songs that need choreography (A Poultry Tale, Hold Your Head Up High, The Wild Goose Chase, and Warts and All) you will need to attend additional morning rehearsals at 7:00 AM on Tuesday and Thursday morning next week.
There will be no ICU after school on Thursday.  However, if you are on the list Thursday afternoon you will be in school on Friday at 9:00 a.m.  If you have questions please see Mrs. Schwan. 

The annual school-wide community FOOD DRIVE will be on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 6:00.  All of the church youth groups have also been invited to participate.  Please come and help!  Meet in the arena lobby at 6:00.  There will be pizza and pop after the food collection.  Get out and help those in our community who are in need!  Also a great way to get community service hours.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are today from 1:30 – 8:30.  Remind your parents to talk to all of your teachers so you can get the 10 bonus points.  Classes that you have an “A” in as of noon yesterday (Wednesday), parents will not need to talk to those teachers. 

**Free flu shots will be given to any student today.  If you plan to get the shot there is a form that needs to be filled out.  You can get the form in the office or on grotonarea.com.  If you are planning to get the shot during the school day you will need to sign up in the office.

Honk cast and crew: due to the change in performance dates for the show to December 9 and 14, there is a new play rehearsal schedule. They will be available from Mrs. Honerman today during advisory – PLEASE STOP AND GET ONE! Rehearsal this Thursday will be at 7:00 AM instead of 6:30 pm due to volleyball regions – let Mrs. Honerman or Mr. Swanson know if you are unable to attend ASAP!

Prom Committee will meet Thursday during Advisory.

Grade 12:  Seniors will be taking the NCRC on Wednesday, November 5th either in the morning or afternoon in the conference room – please check the list that was emailed to you if you have questions.  Bring your computer (make sure it is charged), a calculator, and some material to work on if you have extra time. Lunch count and attendance will be taken in the testing room.

There will be an FBLA meeting today during advisory in Ms. Lingbeck’s room.
