MS/HS Bulletin March 31

Congratulations to Kelby H for being selected to the Aberdeen American News All-Area Wrestling Team for placing 2nd at the State Wrestling Tournament. 

 

Any girls interested in playing golf this spring should meet in Mr. Kjellsen's room right after school on Tuesday, April 1st.

 

Pops concert individual and small group auditions will be held Monday, March 31st at 5:00 in the high school music room. 

 

JH track will start tomorrow.  No JH track today!

Students Grades 6-7-8-9- 11 will be taking the Smarter Balanced and DSTEP science test in the next few weeks.  Please make plans to be here during testing as it must be made up.   All students will need headsets – please bring these to school.    Testing groups are posted outside the conference room.

The Groton United Methodist Youth group will meet tonight at 7:00pm at the church.

 

There will be a meeting on Thursday in advisory for kids going on DC trip.

 

There will be a short football meeting on Thursday in Mr. Wanner’s classroom right after school for all boys in grades 8-11 that are interested in playing football next year.

A pair of glasses has been turned into the office.  They are teal with a bit of purple.  They were found in the girls’ varsity locker room. 
 
Varsity track practice starts today.
 
There will be a short football meeting on Thursday in Mr. Wanner’s classroom right after school for all boys in grades 8-11 that are interested in playing football next year.

There will be two groups of students – one will test in the morning and one in the afternoon.  Testing groups will be read to you during English classes and will be posted outside the conference room and Mrs. Sternhagen’s room.     
 
DSTEP science testing grades 8 and 11 will take place during science class.  All 6th grade testing is in the 6th grade room. 
 
Half the students will test in the morning and half will test in the afternoon.  Grades 6-8 will test periods 1-3 and periods 5-advisory.  Grades 9 and 11 will test periods 1-4 and 5-advisory.  The testing schedule will look like this:

Happy First Day of Spring to Everyone!!

 

Teacher In-service tomorrow – N0 School.

 

All JH students interested in JH track there will be a meeting in Mr. Kurth’s room on Tuesday, March 25 at 3:10 p.m.  JH track will start Monday, March 31. 

 

All boys’ in grades 6-11 that are interested in wrestling next year, please meet in the wrestling room on Monday, March 24 at 3:45.  Bring work-out clothes. 

 

There will be a Girls Soccer meeting today during advisory, in the conference room, for anyone interested in playing next year. 

 

The Elementary PAC is looking for middle school and high school students who would be willing to help out at this year's elementary carnival on Saturday, March 29th.  Anyone interested please sign up in the office by this Thursday.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!



FCCLAers - Remember that today is our craft day!  We will start during advisory.  We have extra supplies if you forgot to get your own, but its first come, first serve.  See you there!

THERE WILL BE A TRACK AND FIELD MEETING FOR ALL INTERESTED ATHLETES (9-12) TODAY AT 3:35PM (COMPUTER LAB)!  HS TRACK PRACTICE WILL START ON THE 24TH!  COACH SCHURING

National Honor Society Ceremony tonight at 7:00 p.m.

 

Grades 10-12:  Job Fair Tuesday, March 18 from 12:30 – 5 pm at the Aberdeen Civic Arena.  Must be 16 years old.  Many job opportunities – may be hired during the fair.  Bring a resume or fill out applications.  The DOL will help with interviewing if you have questions.  See Mrs. Sternhagen.

Students--if the boys' bathroom upstairs continues to be the mess that it has been, it will be closed indefinitely. 

Bonus points must be used by tomorrow (Wednesday).

 

All JV and varsity boys basketball players should meet in Mr. Kjellsen's room right after school today.  You will turn in uniforms and practice jersey's at that time. They should be on hangers.

 

A math book is missing, and it should be returned to the office if anyone knows anything.  Thank you
