MS/HS Bulletin October 7


FBLA meeting today, during advisory in Mrs. Lingbeck’s room. 

Congratulations to the following for placing at oral interp yesterday. Superiors Lily C and Erin S; Excellent Plus Keri P and the Readers Theater team of Katie M, Laura G, Lily C, Keri P, Erin S, and Jenifer F.

All-State students -- reminder you are expected to be here on Wednesday at 7:00 AM for Show Choir. Then, report to take your pictures at 7:45!

7th and 8th graders need to hand in FB equipment to Mr. Hawkins either Monday or Tuesday after school.

FBLA is selling shirts.  There are order forms in the office.  Money is due when you turn in your order form.

Don’t leave your book bags in the hallway.  Everything must be put in your locker!

On the cameras we have noticed that students are entering the school in doors other than the front door.  Everyone must come in the front door.

Anyone interested in joining DI can stop in the office for a registration form.  They are due back in the office by October 17th.

Please return all over due books to the library!

Students that were given computer forms, that needed signatures, please turn those in right away. 

Pictures are tomorrow!  If you did not get a picture form stop in the office.

Due to the band festival on Friday, Oct. 10 and lunch time changes, we will have the following lunch menu:  hot dogs, baked beans, potato chips, apple sauce cups

Tonight is Breast Cancer Awareness Night at the Leola/Frederick volleyball match at Frederick.  Show your support to take down breast cancer.  7th grade plays at 4:00, 8th grade at 5:00 p.m., JV at 6:30 with varsity to follow.

Snow Queen Talent Contest entry forms may be picked up from Mr. Johnson.  Aspiring vocalists, instrumentalists, dancers, actors, magicians, and comedians are encouraged to sign up.  Applications must be turned in by Friday, October 17th.  The contest will be held on the evening of Sunday, November 2nd in the high school gym.

Good luck to the volleyball teams tonight at Frederick.  7th grade plays at 4:00, 8th at 5:00, JV at 6:30 with varsity to follow. 

10th Grade – HOBY essays due Oct. 17 to Mrs. Sternhagen.   Write about your leadership skills – what is the most rewarding and challenging aspect of being a leader in our school.  Tell about your leadership experiences.  Tell about yourself.  Why would you be a good candidate for HOBY?

The following must pay $14 for the PSAT test on October 15.
