MS/HS Bulletin October 22

Student Bulletin

CCD classes for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton juniors and seniors will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the church for a hayride near Conde.

Senior Parents Night for football, cross country and football cheerleaders will be tomorrow at 6:45 prior to the football game.  Parents need to be at the south end of the football field at 6:30.  Please bring $5 to the office for your parents gift.

There will be an FBLA meeting Thursday October 23, during advisory in Ms. Lingbecks room. 

There will be a FFA meeting today during Advisory. 

Students on the ICU list, please be advised:
  • If you are on the list on October 23rd you will be in school on the 24th from 8:00-3:00 (teacher in-service). 
  • If you skip ICU two times in a row, you will receive an hour detention. 
  • Skipping advisory to avoid ICU will not be tolerated; this will result in detention.
  • Lateness is not acceptable.  Morning ICU begins at 7:30 am sharp.
State Championship Boys Soccer Shirt order forms are in the office.  All orders must be in by Monday, October 27.  Payment is due at time of ordering.

FBLA are selling shirts.  They are due to the office on Friday, October 31.  Money is due when you turn in your order form.

Please return all over due books to the library!

Grade 9:  Please return your pathways sheets to Mrs. Sternhagen

Grade 12:  I will be mailing the NSU free application week transcripts and ACT scores to Northern today at 2:30 pm.   If you need yours sent let me know right away!  Thanks – Mrs. Sternhagen.

Grade 12:  Northern has decided to do a free application week at NSU this week October 21-25.  Students  can fill the application out the online on NSU’s website at https://apply.sdbor.edu/login.cfm?inst=nsu, but do not pay for it. Once it is paid NSU cannot refund the $20. Students can also fill out this PDF application, http://www.northern.edu/admissions/Documents/application.pdf, scan it and email it to NSU.

Grades 11-12:  ASVAB testing will be held on Thursday, October 30 from 8:30 – 12:00 in the conference room.  The following are registered for the ASVAB:  Christopher Zarycki, Isaiah Cutler, Adam Herman, Tia Thompson, Keegan Schelle, Jack McKiver, Steven Fey.  See Mrs. Sternhagen if you have questions.

Grades 11-12:  The following college representatives will be in the School Counseling Office to visit with students.  Please make arrangements with your teachers.

Grades 11-12:   Reminder of things to do for the ACT Test on Saturday, October 25 at Groton.  Enter the building at the office entrance.  Bring your admission ticket and a driver’s license (photo ID), 2 calculators, pencils with erasers, a watch, and possibly a water bottle.  Be sure and show up at the testing location at least 15 minutes early.  It might be a good idea to review last minute formulas and rules.  No caps are to be worn during testing.  No beverage will be allowed in the testing area.  No cell phones are to be used at any time during test (including the break). Testing should conclude around noon.  Those who are taking the writing assessment should be done by 12:45 p.m.  Be sure and do the practice test prior to the test.  Stop by the GO if you need an extra copy.
