MS/HS Bulletin October 3

Please return all over due books to the library!

Students that were given computer forms, that needed signatures, please turn those in right away. 

Rodeo Club meeting on Monday during advisory in the science lab (room 304).

MS/HS picture day is Wednesday, October 8.  There is information in the office or at grotonarea.com to order your Lifetouch pictures online. 

Due to the band festival on Friday, Oct. 10 and lunch time changes, we will have the following lunch menu:  hot dogs, baked beans, potato chips, apple sauce cups

The Breast Cancer Awareness night will be Monday night with the volleyball team playing against Langford.  A bake sale will start at 5:30 p.m.  Wear your pink to show your support. 

Tuesday, October 7 is Breast Cancer Awareness Night at the Leola/Frederick volleyball match at Frederick.  Show your support to take down breast cancer.  7th grade plays at 4:00, 8th grade at 5:00 p.m., JV at 6:30 with varsity to follow.

Any Junior and Senior girl that participate in Carnival of Silver Skates needs to pick up a queen form, in the office, if you didn’t already receive one.  They must be returned to the office ASAP.

Snow Queen Talent Contest entry forms may be picked up from Mr. Johnson.  Aspiring vocalists, instrumentalists, dancers, actors, magicians, and comedians are encouraged to sign up.  Applications must be turned in by Friday, October 17th.  The contest will be held on the evening of Sunday, November 2nd in the high school gym.

Rough schedules are available for Honk! in Mrs. Honerman’s room (216). Please stop by and pick these up today! Our first rehearsal will be Monday, October 6 at 6:30 pm. The following students need to see Mrs. Honerman to either accept or decline their role(s): Jerick H, Sydney T, Maddy S, Katie G, Jocelyn P, Luke S, Kaitlyn O, and Devon P.

The school is looking for a part-time student custodian.  You must be 16 years old or older.  It may turn in to a full-time position in the summer.  If you are interested, stop in the office for an application.

Good luck to Kaitlin O at the South Dakota Miss Teen Contest this weekend.

Good luck to Brody S and Landon M at State Golf on Monday and Tuesday in Hot Springs.

Good luck to the football team tonight at Milbank.  Game starts at 7:00 p.m.  Players/Stats/Managers will be dismissed at 3:15p.m. 

Good luck to our Marching Band and the Gypsy Day Parade on Saturday.  Bus will leave at 8:00 a.m.  Parade starts at 9:00 a.m.

Grades 6-12:  Good Luck to the Boys Soccer team!  The boys play James Valley Christian on Saturday at 5 pm in Groton in the Semifinal of the State A Tournament.  The winner moves on to the State Championship in Mitchell next weekend.  Hope to see everyone at the game!!!
