MS/HS Bulletin February 6, 2014

JO Volleyball players - Your signed forms (including the folder) need to be turned into Mr. Helvig as soon as possible.  See Coach Helvig if you need forms to fill out.

 

 February 10-14 is National FCCLA week, our chapter has several events and fundraisers planned to celebrate the week including:

*Crush cans that will be sold during lunch Feb 10, 11, and 12 and will delivered on Feb. 13.

 

*Pregnancy Belly Fundraiser - Put your extra change in the jar of your favorite male teacher who you would like to see wear the pregnancy simulation belly for one day!  The top two teachers with the most money will wear the belly for a whole day!  You can begin filling the jars on Feb. 5-11, they will be in office!

 

All proceeds will go towards Groton Community Improvement Projects.

 

On Saturday there is a double header at Warner.  Warner will be serving a pork loin meal that includes a   sandwich, chips and a bar for $5.

 

Good luck to the girls’ basketball team at Sisseton tonight.

 

Good luck to the wrestlers at Ortonville tonight.  You will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m.

 

Good luck to the 8^th grade basketball team against Langford tonight.  Game starts at 6:00 p.m. 

 

Grades 11-12:  If you are interested in a career in law enforcement, you should plan to attend the Youth Trooper Academy from June 23rd -June 27th in Pierre.  If accepted, all expenses will be paid.  See Mrs. Sternhagen if interested in applying.  The deadline is March 24th.

 

Grade 12:  In order to be eligible for the best financial aid package you must meet your school’s financial aid priority filing dates.   Most SD schools have a priority date of March 1 but some schools (U of  M for example) may have earlier deadlines.   Be sure and go to www.fafsa.gov  NOT fafsa.com.
