MS/HS Bulletin February 25, 2014



Congratulations to Parker K, Jeric A, and Kelby H for making it to the State Wrestling Tournament!!

 

FFA is selling crew-neck long sleeve and short sleeve t-shirts.  Orders forms are in the office.  They are due back to the office on Monday, March 3

 

Girls’ Basketball Regions will be held at Groton on February 25, 27 and March 4th.  Students will not be able to use their activity tickets to enter the game.  Northeast Conference Passes and Golden Age Passes will not be accepted either.  The cost for students is $4 and adults $6. 

 

If you have belongings in the arena boys and girls locker rooms and in the JH boys locker room be sure they are locked up or taken home.  The region girls’ basketball players will be using those locker rooms. 

 

Congratulations to the Students of the Month for January.  Kayla J, Alexis S, Emilie C, Patrick G, Lily C, Haley U, Alec O.  Please bring forms to Mrs. Sternhagen.  Photo on Tuesday during advisory in Mrs. Sternhagen’s office.

 

Grades 8-11:  Reminder to all student – if you need to change your registration for next fall see Mrs. Sternhagen. These students still need to register – see Mrs. Sternhagen

Grade 12:  FAFSA – March 1!  Most SD schools have a priority date of March 1 but some schools (U of  M for example) may have earlier deadlines.   Be sure and go to www.fafsa.gov  NOT fafsa.com

 

Grade 11 and 12: ACT:  ACT registration for the April 12th  test is due online by March 7  Register at www.actstudent.org   and pay with a credit card.  You can test in Groton or in Aberdeen.  Be sure to list Groton as your home school.  Remember you must upload a photo to register and then print the admission ticket.  Fee waivers are available – stop by the GO.  Juniors please see Mrs. Sternhagen.

 

Grades 11-12:  The following college representatives will be in the School Counseling Office to visit with students.  Please make arrangements with your teachers.
