MS/HS Bulletin December 10, 2013



 

The Show Choir will have the annual Christmas goodie bake sale before the MS/HS Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 12th from 5-7pm in the gym.

 

Show Choir members, please have your baked goods to the gym by 3:30pm on Thursday.  You may drop your items off before school in Mr. Weber's office on Thursday.

 

The following students need to turn in their tour of homes ticket money as soon as possible: Truitt R, Garrett S, Nikki K, and Sydney T

 

The Groton United Methodist youth group will meet at 6:45pm at the church on Wednesday to do their Christmas shopping.  Don't be late!

 

The cheerleaders are selling Tiger Hats for $15, Tiger Headbands for $10 and Tiger Lanyards for $2.  They would make a great Christmas gift!  Stop in the office if you are interested.

 

The Tacoma Park Christmas Festival will be held again this weekend.  If you are interested in volunteering there is a sign-up sheet in the office. 

 

DI will help you Wrap Up your Christmas.  Bring your boxed gift and they will wrap it for you.  Free will donation.  Suggest donation $3-$5 depending on size.  They will also have a variety of Christmas goodies.  $4  per pound.  They will be at the SEAS Catholic Church on Sunday, December 15 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.

 

Basketball shirt order forms are available the office.  They are due back in the office today. 

 

The following students still owe Mrs. Honerman $10 for their play t-shirts. Please bring this by Friday, December 6!  Sydney T, Sadie R, Skyler B, Jocelyn P, Alyssa S, Devon P, Marlee J, Ethan B,  Aaron S

 

Yearbooks are for sale.  The cost without a name is $45 and with a name is $47.  The price will go up after Christmas.

 

Our school district has been selected to participate in a study conducted by South Dakota State University.  To participate, I would appreciate it if you would please take a brief online survey that will ask you questions about school wellness.

Volleyball players hand in all uniforms and warm ups.  They must be washed and on a hanger. 

 

 

 Grade 12:   Tonight, Monday, December 9th at 7 p.m. is Groton's Financial Aid Information Night.  Becky Pribyl, a financial aid officer, will give the presentation on how to finance your college education and options available through the FAFSA (free application federal student aid).  This is how you get the best loans and the grants for college.  Please plan to attend along with your parents.  Letters were mailed to your parents yesterday inviting them to this very important presentation.  See Mrs. Sternhagen if you have questions.

  

Grades 9-12:  Any student interested in helping with 3D Month activities – Drinking and Drugged Driving Prevention Month should stop by and see Mrs. Sternhagen.
