Snow
Queen Talent Competition entry forms can be picked up from Mr.
Johnson. Forms are due Friday, November 8th. Auditions will be
Tuesday, November 12th immediately after school. The Snow
Queen contest is on Sunday, November 17th.
Football players can start turning in equipment on Monday.
There will be a Free Flu Shot Clinic on November 14, Parent/Teacher Conference night, at the elementary starting at 1:30 p.m.
Forms were handed out to grades 6 – 8.
Grades 9-12 can stop in the office to pick up a form.

FCCLAers - Your fruit orders are due to Mrs. Tietz
on Friday, Nov. 1 and remember the November FCCLA meeting in on Tuesday, Nov. 5 during advisory.

The "I Hate Shakespeare!" crew will meet today after school and Sunday during rehearsal from about 2-5 pm.
There will be an all church activity on Wednesday, November 6 from 6-8 pm at the High School Gym. There will be dodge ball and other activities. The cost is 5.00 with the proceeds going to the BAGS program. This activity is for grades 7-12.
There
is extra frozen Peanut Butter Cup and Oatmeal cookie dough from the
show choir fundraiser. It is $16 per box. See Mrs. Yeaton
soon if you are interested.
Saturday is the Junior Class Fundraiser – Tour of Tables at the SEAS Church
Juniors going on the class trip need to be at the church right after school or no later than 5:00 p.m.today.
Congratulations to Reilly E. and Cheyenne
S. for being selected as the school winners in the 2013 Wendys High School Heisman Competition. Both advanced to the next level of competition and both
were selected as State Finalists. State winners will be selected on November 4th – good luck to both of them as they advance in the competition.

Grade 12: NSU – free application month. November
is free app month at NSU.
You must submit a paper application, transcript, and ACT and be
accepted by the end of the month. The application materials must
be sent straight to NSU. Stop by the GO to get the application and get it filled out to give to the NSU rep when she visits Groton on November 7.
Grade 12: Testing – ACT:
ACT registration for the December 14 test is due online by November 8. Register at www.actstudent.org
and pay with a credit card. You can test in Aberdeen. Be sure to list
Groton as your home school. Remember you must upload a photo to
register and then print the admission ticket. Fee waivers are available
– stop by the GO.
Grade 12: Legislative Page:
Serve
as a page in the SD legislature for a two week window starting in
January. Great opportunity to learn about the legislative process and
to meet students from across SD. Must be recommended by a legislator –
