MS/HS Bulletin October 9, 2013

Girls and boys soccer will be dismissed at 11:30 today for practice in Aberdeen.  They should return between 1:30 – 2:00.

SEAS church will not have CCD tonight.

 

 St John’s Lutheran church will not have confirmation tonight.

 

United Methodist Youth Group will meet tonight at6:45 at the church.

 

Students--Please be aware of the attendance policy concerning work.  "Students may be excused to work at home in case of absolute necessity; however, no student will be excused to work for anyone other than parents."  You will receive an unexcused absence if you leave school to go to work if it is not at home for your parents. 

There will be a pep rally today at 3:10 for the boys and girls soccer teams.  Band and Cheerleaders will dismiss at 3:00 for the pep rally.

 

Students that were giving speeches a week or two ago -- there is a green bowl with a white spoon that was left in the office. 

 

A bag of red, white, and blue flags dropped off in the office last Friday please come to claim them.

Junior class t-shirt orders are due on Thursday.  Order forms are on the counter in the office.

 

Students are not allowed to park on the north end of the arena or anywhere on the west side of the building, (including streets) on Friday.  These areas are reserved for guest school bus parking. 

 

There are still some Homecoming t-shirts for sale for $14.  See Mr. Franken if you would like one.

 

Students going on the Spain Trip need to attend a meeting with at least one parent on Wednesday, October 9th at 5pm in Mrs. Kippley's room. 

 

Congratulations to the boys and girls soccer teams for their playoff wins!  The girls beat Tea Area 3-1 and the boys team beat Sioux Falls O’Gorman 2-1 in a shootout!  The SD High School Soccer Tournament will be played on Thursday and Friday in Aberdeen with the boys opening play at 1:00 vs. Aberdeen Central and the girls play Sioux Falls O’Gorman at 7:00.

 

Grades 11-12:  The following college representatives will be in the School Counseling Office to visit with students.  Please make arrangements with your teachers.

Grade 10:  If you are taking both the PLAN and the PSAT, you can bring one check for the total of $26.95 ($12.95 for PLAN + $14 for PSAT) made payable to GHS.
