Groton Area School Patrons,
Official ballots are ready for the upcoming April 11th MS/HS
Bond Election. As a result you may begin voting absentee in
person until 5:00 pm the day before the election at the MS/HS Business
Office located at 406 North 2nd Street in Groton. Any application for a
ballot by authorized messenger must be received by School Business

All voters who wish to vote absentee by mail or want to take their
ballot with them from the Business Office to vote at home will first
have to complete and submit an absentee ballot application. Voters may
contact the School Business Office at (605) 397-2351 for a copy of the
application or the form can be printed from the website of the South
Dakota Secretary of State at https://sdsos.gov/elections-voting/voting/absentee-voting.aspx
With any of the aforementioned voting options, you will be required
to provide valid photo identification before receiving your ballot.
Eligible voters not yet registered must do so prior to 5:00 pm, Monday,

Juniors and seniors--please consider attending prom even if you do
not have plans to go through Grand March. You are most welcome to
attend with or without a date. A "prom" dress code will still apply
(see me if you have questions about this) and you will still be
responsible for the $20 which will be returned if you stay through Post
Prom. Please note that the Post Prom activity has changed--we are no
longer going to the bowling alley, but instead a hypnotist will perform
from 12:30-1:30. The dance will end at 12:00 and you will have 1/2 hour
to change, eat, etc. You will not be able to leave the building, so
plan accordingly. When the hypnotist has ended, you will move to the
library for the prize drawings. Dr. Schwan
Students--you have to keep your lockers locked, whether it's your
school locker or your gym locker. With that being said, it appears as
though some of you are helping yourselves to others' belongings, and
that is unacceptable and is regarded as stealing. Keep that in mind.
Dr. Schwan.
