MS/HS Bulletin March 15

Congratulations to Carly W and Audrey W for being selected to the NE Conference Girls Basketball 2nd Team. 

Be sure to use your bonus points by the end of the quarter, Wednesday, March 16.

Seniors--if you are using your senior privileges you need to leave the building.  If you are in school you are in study hall and not in other locations such as the gym or weight room.

Someone that attended the track meeting yesterday left a Starbucks water bottle in the computer lab.

The Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering is once again host the Girls, Engineering, Math, & Science (GEMS) workshop for 8th grade girls on Saturday, April 2nd. This workshop will be held in Brookings, on the SDSU campus, and costs $25 if registered by March 25. After March 25 the cost goes to $35. Bulletin announcement for students on Testing 2016:
 
Students Grades 6-7-8- 11 will be taking the Smarter Balanced and DSTEP science test in the next few weeks.  Please make plans to be here during testing as it must be made up.   All students will need headsets – please bring these to school. 
All backpacks and cell phones must be put away during testing.  Cell phones can not be accessed during testing. 
 
Bring other work to do after you are finished testing.

There will be two groups of students for ELA and Math – one will test in the morning and one in the afternoon.  Testing groups will be read to you during English classes and will be posted outside the conference room/computer lab and Mrs. Sternhagen’s room.     
DSTEP science testing grades 8 and 11 will take place during science class. 
ELA and Math:  Half the students will test in the morning and half will test in the afternoon.  Grades 6-8 will test periods 1-4 (will eat 2nd lunch) and periods 5-advisory.  Grade 11 will test periods 1-4 and 5-advisory.  The testing schedule will look like this:

Grades 11-12:  ASVAB Testing (military and careers) will possibly be offered on this Friday, March 18th in the morning to interested students.   Please let Mrs. Sternhagen know if you are interested in taking this test.
