MS/HS Bulletin December 7

MathCounts meets Tuesday morning, beginning at 7:45 a.m.

The Student Council is sponsoring a "Holiday Drive."  They will be accepting donations of new items to be given to area organizations for the purpose of helping those in need.  Please visit the Christmas tree in the office for ideas of what to donate.    Items may be dropped off at the office.  Thank you for your help!

FCCLA members will meet during advisory on Tuesday, Dec. 8 to take a group picture.  Please wear one or more of the following colors: RED, BLACK, WHITE, and/or GRAY.  Thanks!

Attention 6th and 7th grade boys and girls: The Aberdeen Babysitting Clinic is scheduled for December 29, 2015 from 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm. Students who participate in the NESD AHEC Babysitting Clinic will learn basic CPR for child and infant, basic First-Aid, and basic babysitting information.  The cost of the training is $55 per student. Call 229-8309 to pre-register (PRE-REGISTRATION is REQUIRED).

Yearbooks are for sale at the business office. 
$50.00 for the book.
$5.00 for personalization and
$3.00 for any icon they want added to their cover.
These sale prices will be good until the end of the 1st Semester (January 8th)
After January 8th - the prices of the book will go up.  New prices will be
$55.00 for the book

$ 3.00 for Icons

Grade 11:  Practice ACT test will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 8 in the conference room and room 120 for those who registered.  Testing will start at 8:30 and will end at 11:58.  Please go to the testing room for attendance and lunch count.  Bring pencils and a calculator.     Please see Mrs. Sternhagen if you have questions/concerns.

Grade 12:  Financial Aid Information Night will be held tonight, Monday, December 7th,  at 5:30 pm in the computer lab for seniors and their parents.  This is an extremely important meeting for anyone who needs money for college.  Becky Pribyl, financial aid officer at NSU, will present on the FAFSA – this is the government program which provides low interest loans and grants for students in college or technical school and is also how a student qualifies for workstudy.  Parental and student financial information is required on the FAFSA.  Please plan to come to the meeting. 
 
October Students of the Month will have a photo taken tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 8, during advisory in Mrs. Sternhagen’s room.  Please bring your profile.

Grade 9:  Please return your sheet to Mrs. Sternhagen.  Caroline G, Alexa H, Jodi H, Lucas H,  Spencer J, Jeremy J, Clayton K,  Wyatt L, Micah P
 
Grades 11-12:  The following college representatives will be in the School Counseling Office to visit with students.  Please make arrangements with your teachers.
December 7                 2:00 pm            NDSU
Grades 11-12:  Tuesday 2nd hour there will be a guest speaker in Physics.  The SD Highway Patrol will be presenting on Accident Scene Reconstruction.  This is a very interesting presentation - see Mrs. Sternhagen if you are interested in attending.
