MS/HS Bulletin December 9

Student Bulletin

Anyone interested in being a student manager for the boys basketball team, contact Mr. Kjellsen.

Congratulations to Lily C for earning a superior in storytelling at the State Oral Interp Festival in Huron this weekend.

Reminder all students must park in the east parking lots.  Do not park on the west side of the school in the staff parking.   

There will be an FBLA meeting today, during advisory, in Ms. Lingbeck’s room.  

Tickets for “Honk!” are available in advance from Mrs. Stauch, Lori’s Pharmacy, or Olde Bank. Student tickets are $4 and adult tickets are $7. Tickets will also be available at the door. Performances are today at 6:00 pm and Sunday, December 14 at 3:30 pm. Come support your friends and their talents in a musical all about the ugly duckling and his search for happiness!

Jostens will be here on Friday, Dec. 12 from 8:00 - 9:30 to take orders from Juniors and Seniors

Year books for 2015 can be pre-purchased at the cost of $50.00 up until December 19th.
After December 19th they will go up to $55.00
If you want your book personalized it is an extra $3.00

Grades 6-12:  Tutors will meet with students on Mondays and Wednesdays during advisory.   Reminder to students - if you are on ICU you will go to ICU rather than meet with your tutor.  Tutors, please check the ICU room if students do not come to tutoring on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Grade 10:  All 10th graders will take the SDCAP ability profiler test on Dec. 9-10 during English (periods 2-6-7).  Please bring your computers.

Grade 12:  Financial Aid Information night packets will be handed out on Monday during English.

Grades 11-12:   Reminder of things to do for the ACT Test on Saturday, December 13th in Aberdeen, Ipswich or Redfield.   Bring your admission ticket and a driver’s license (photo ID), 2 calculators, pencils with erasers, a watch, and possibly a water bottle.  Be sure and show up at the testing location at least 15 minutes early.  It might be a good idea to review last minute formulas and rules.  No caps are to be worn during testing.  No beverage will be allowed in the testing area.  No cell phones are to be used at any time during test (including the break). Testing should conclude around noon.  Those who are taking the writing assessment should be done by 12:45 p.m.  Be sure and do the practice test prior to the test.  Stop by the GO if you need an extra copy.
