There
will be an Fellowship of Christian Athlete Kickoff Event on Sunday at
Matt Knecht's farm from 5-8pm. Supper will be provided! Everyone
is welcome for food, games, and fellowship. Please let Mr. Franken know if you
will be attending for a supper count. Bring a lawn chair!
Those
who want to participate in DI this year need to sign up this week in the
office.
Carnival
of Silver Skates Registration will be conducted on Sunday, September 8th from 11
AM to 3 PM and again Monday, September 9th from 3 PM to 7 PM. If you want to
participate in the Carnival, you must be present one of these days. Registration
forms did get sent out to parents via email, but if you want another form,
please stop by the office. If you have not participated before and would like
to, please take a form as well. We hope to see many of you at
registration!!
If you
have an idea for a business, you should submit that idea and win some money!
The deadline for the Big Idea competition is October 31st. 1st place prize is
$1000 and a $1000 scholarship to Northern or Presentation. See
Mrs. Schwan for details.
The search is on to find our top youth volunteer. If you are selected, you could receive $1,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C. If you feel you've made a positive difference through a volunteer activity, apply for this award. The deadline is November 5th. See Mrs. Schwan if interested.

Juniors,
there is a list of when you work concession stands in the English room. Make
sure to check the list and mark down when you are signed up. If the date does
not work, you are responsible for finding a replacement. Please let one of your
advisors know so we can note the change. If you fail to show up, you will be
charge $10.
Enrollment
forms and Health Summaries are due in the office today. If you
have lost your sheets stop at the office to pick up some new forms.
Anyone
interested in oral interp and/or debate for the 2013-14 school year
should plan to attend the information meeting on Wednesday, September 4th in
Mrs. Gonsoir's Room (room 308). If you cannot attend please let
Mrs. Gonsoir know.
The
first FCCLA meeting of the year will be held on today during advisory
period. All are welcome to join!

Reminder
of the qualifying sub-scores needed for 4-year college placement on the Act (20
in math, 18 in English). The online program called the Accuplacer is
designed to help students avoid placement in remedial courses. Please see Mrs.
Sternhagen.
