MS/HS Bulletin April 13


Students taking Drivers Ed. be sure to pick up your classroom schedules from Mr. Wanner.
 
Football players turn in your team camp forms to Mr. Wanner
 
Students that stayed through Prom and Post-Prom see Dr. Schwan to get your money back. 
 
The April FCCLA meeting will be in the FACS room on Thursday, April 13 during lunch.
 
Anyone that would like Circus tickets please come to the office.
 
Baseball, Softball and T-ball registration information is in the office.
 
Cheerleaders that have not voted please come to the office today.  Voting will end today.
 
Tickets for the 1st Annual Middle School Talent Show are now available. General Admission is $5.00. Please see any MS Music Student to purchase a ticket. The show will be held on Friday April 21st at 7 pm and will also feature the 6th/JH Bands and JH Show Choir. Come enjoy a night of talent, music, and popcorn!
 
Students and Staff – There will be a Blood Drive on April 17 at the Legion Club Room.  You must be 16 or older.  If interested call June Ackman at 397-8369.
 
The FCCLA style show is on Thursday, April 27 at 7pm.  If you are interested in performing as one of the talent acts at the style show, please contact Mrs. Tietz by April 13.

Good luck to the JH Track Team at Sisseton.  Dismissal time is 1:45 p.m. 
 
Grades 10-11:  There will be a Dual Credit meeting for those who registered to take courses online next fall (start date in August) on April 20 in the conference room.  First time Dual Credit enrollees will meet at 3:00 and students who previously have taken dual credit will come at 3:20. 
 
Grades 6-12:  Congratulations to the 6-12 graders who qualified for the 3rd quarter honor roll!  It is posted outside the school counseling office.
 
Grade 12:  If you are planning on attending a 4-year SD public school, you will need an 18 in English and a 20 in math or a 3 or 4 on the Smarter Balanced ELA and Math in order to be placed into entry level college English and Math.   The SD College Ready Curriculum can help if you do not meet these minimum scores – see Mrs. Sternhagen. 
 
Congratulations to the January Students of the Month 
Grade 6 – Jacob Lewandowski, Grade 7 – Allyssa Locke, Grade 8 –Sage Mortenson , Grade 9 – Nicole Marzahn , Grade 10 – Shyla Larson , Grade 11 –Gia Gengerke , Grade 12 – Patrick Gengerke .  Photo will be taken later next week.
 
Grades 11-12  ACT:  Registration for the June 10 test is due online by May 5, 2017 .  Register at www.actstudent.org   and pay with a credit card.  You will test in Aberdeen or Groton but be sure to list Groton as your home school.  Remember you must upload a photo to register and then print the admission ticket.  Fee waivers are available – stop by the GO.  Other test dates are: Sept. Oct. and Dec.   See Mrs. Sternhagen if you have questions.
