Congratulations to the Groton Area Tigers on a fantastic football season.  To allow students and their families to attend the game in Vermillion, there will be no school on Friday, November 11.  OST will be closed.

Advance ticket sales will be on Monday, November 7 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the GHS Arena ticket booth in conjunction with fall family night.

General Admission Student Seats: $8.00

6 – 7 – 8 grade students interested in wrestling meet with Darin Zoellner at 11:30 in the arena lobby on Tuesday. 

There will not be ICU tonight due to Family Night.  Please come and check it out!  Free supper from 5:00-6:30 in the lunchroom.

Any oral interp student wishing to compete on Friday, November 11 in Aberdeen must see Mrs. Gonsoir TODAY.

Any debate student wishing to compete on Saturday, November 12 in Aberdeen must see Mrs. Gonsoir TODAY.

Debaters and oral interpers, please sign up for the November 18-19 meet in Mitchell by Wednesday of this week.

Family Night is set for Monday, November 7th from 4:00 -7:00 pm in the gym/arena.  Free meal from 5:00 – 6:30 (pizza, breadsticks, fruit, and brownie).  Post-secondary representatives will be available.  The All-School Play, The Blithe Spirit, will be held in the old gym immediately following Family Night. 

We are very excited to inform you that the Groton Youth Rally will feature the Bruce Crevier family and their Spin-tacular Basketball program called Champions Forever, at the Groton Area High School Arena. The Rally will be on Wed., Nov. 16th at 7pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm.
Please reserve this night for a great time here in Groton and bring the whole family. Tickets will be sold for $5 in advance at the Groton Dairy Queen and Aberdeen Anchors of Faith, and $5 at the door, family rate- $20.  You may call for tickets or more information at 377-0709 or 397-8647. All ages are welcome!!

The November FCCLA Meeting will be on Tuesday, Nov. 8 in the FACS room, lunch will be served.

Snow Queen Talent Competition forms are in the office. Forms need to be turned in to Mr. Swanson by Monday, November 14. Those performing will have run-through on Thursday, November 17 at 3:30 PM. Preliminary cuts may be made if there is a large number of performers.

MS/HS Band Members please bring turn in your fundraising orders to Mrs. Yeigh and Mr. Fordham as soon as possible!

MS/HS Lifetouch picture retakes are on Thursday, November 17.

The fall school play, “Blithe Spirit”, will be performed Sunday, November 6 at 3:00pm and Monday, November 7 at 7:00pm in the old gym. Adult tickets are $7 and student tickets are $4. Please attend this comedic play and support the talented cast and crew! You’re sure to have a few good laughs!

FBLA will be hosting a blood drive on Wednesday November 9th, in the Groton High School Gym from 8:45-2:30, please contact Ms. Lingbeck or an FBLA member if you would like to schedule an appointment to donate!

 The Annual School Wide Food Drive will be on Wednesday, November 9.  Meet in the arena lobby at 6:00.  Pizza and pop will be served after we're done collecting food to help those in need in our community.

The following girls need to turn in their volleyball uniform(s) to Miss Erickson as soon as possible:

Grades 6-12:  Honor roll is posted outside the School Counseling Office.  Congratulations to all who made it!
 
Grades 9-12:  Family Night is set for tonight - Monday, November 7th from 4-7 pm.  This year we have many college representatives coming to GHS to speak with you and your parents – Please come and talk with them.  So far Presentation Colllege, Lake Area Tech, Mitchell Tech, North Dakota State University, ND State College of Science (Wahpeton), University of SD, SD State University, Augustana, University of Jamestown, Northern State University, the Army, the National Guard, University of Sioux Falls, Dakota State University and the local PEO organization.
