MS/HS Bulletin Nov 3

Be sure to turn your clocks back 1 hour before you go to bed Saturday night.  (fall back)

The Saturday football game against Roncalli will be at 6:00 p.m.   Remind that activity passes cannot be used.  Students are $5 and adults are $7. 

Congratulations to the following MathCounts students for their awards at Wednesday's Roncalli Invitational MathCounts Competition:

Trophies for second place seventh grade team: Madeline Fliehs, Seth Johnson, Stella Meier, Travis Townsend

The November FCCLA Meeting will be on Tuesday, Nov. 8 in the FACS room, lunch will be served.

The cheerleaders will be sponsoring a pep rally for the football team on Friday beginning at 3:06 in the arena.  The schedule will run as follows:

Snow Queen Talent Competition forms are in the office. Forms need to be turned in to Mr. Swanson by Monday, November 14. Those performing will have run-through on Thursday, November 17 at 3:30 PM. Preliminary cuts may be made if there is a large number of performers.

Reminder the change to the ICU protocol.  If you skip the afternoon session you will receive 1/2 hour detention. If you skip the afternoon and the morning session of ICU you will receive 1 hour detention.  If you skip your detention you will receive ISS.

MS/HS Band Members please bring turn in your fundraising orders to Mrs. Yeigh and Mr. Fordham as soon as possible!

MS/HS Lifetouch picture retakes are on Thursday, November 17.

FBLA meeting Friday, November 4th during lunch in Ms. Lingbeck's room.  Lunch will be served.

Oral Interpers please see the schedule on Mrs. Gonsoir's door for our local contest to be held Thursday after school.

The fall school play, “Blithe Spirit”, will be performed Sunday, November 6 at 3:00pm and Monday, November 7 at 7:00pm in the old gym. Adult tickets are $7 and student tickets are $4. Please attend this comedic play and support the talented cast and crew! You’re sure to have a few good laughs!

FBLA will be hosting a blood drive on Wednesday November 9th, in the Groton High School Gym from 8:45-2:30, please contact Ms. Lingbeck or an FBLA member if you would like to schedule an appointment to donate!

The Annual School Wide Food Drive will be on Wednesday, November 9.  Meet in the arena lobby at 6:00.  Pizza and pop will be served after we're done collecting food to help those in need in our community.

The following girls need to turn in their volleyball uniform(s) to Miss Erickson as soon as possible:

Grade 12:  NCRC Testing will be re-scheduled. 
 
Grades 6-12:  Honor roll is posted outside the School Counseling Office.  Congratulations to all who made it!
 
Grades 9-12:  Family Night is set for Monday, November 7th from 4-7 pm.  This year we have many college representatives coming to GHS to speak with you and your parents – Please come and talk with them.  So far Presentation Colllege, Lake Area Tech, Mitchell Tech, North Dakota State University, ND State College of Science (Wahpeton), University of SD, SD State University, Augustana, University of Jamestown, Northern State University, the Army, the National Guard, University of Sioux Falls, Dakota State University and the local PEO organization.
 
Grade 9:  Please return your pathway forms to Mrs. Sternhagen.

Grades 11-12:  The following college representatives will be in the School Counseling Office to visit with students.  Please make arrangements with your teachers.
