MS/HS Bulletin October 4

Oral Interp Students- you must sign up for Tuesday's Novice contest by 3:30 TODAY!  Sign up is on Mrs. Gonsoir's door.

Congratulations to the following oral Interpers: AnnMarie Smith and Tylan Glover- 1st place superior Duo;  AnnMarie Smith, Tylan Glover, Keri Pappas, Jen Fjelstad, Erin Smith, Mitch Koens- 2nd place superior Reader's Theater; Keri Pappas 3rd place superior oratory; Hailey Monson 4th place superior poetry; Thane Henschel Superior poetry; Erin Smith and Jenifer Fjelstad superior duo; Alyssa Fordham, Sam Pappas, Tiara DeHoet, Sage Mortenson Excellent + Duo;  Alyssa Fordham, Sam Pappas, Tiara DeHoet, Sage Mortenson, Hailey Monson Excellent + Readers Theater.

The only available entrance to the school during the day is the main entrance next to the office.  If you enter through another door or let other students in you will lose open lunch privileges.  The doors must remain closed and locked.

Please excuse Tylan Glover and Macy Knecht on Wednesday for a region student council meeting.  They should return around 11:00 if not before.

Groton’s first Pumpkin Fest is Saturday, October 8 in the city park from 10:00 – 3:00.  There will be hayrides to the pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting, face painting, train rides for little one, inflatables, mini photo sessions by appointment and lunch from 11:00 – 1:00.

Any student interested in helping with Pumpkin Fest on Saturday contact the office. 

If you missed the bulletin it is posted outside the office on the bulletin board.  It will also be posted in two locations in the lunchroom and if you go to grotonarea.com and click on Dr. Schwan’s Blog it is located there.

FBLA meeting Friday, October 7th during lunch in Ms. Lingbeck's room.  Lunch will be served.

Grade 10:  Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership application essay due to Mrs. Sternhagen by Friday, October 14.  Please answer the questions in an essay format – typed, Times New Roman, 12.  Please turn in at least a ½ page essay.
