MS/HS Bulletin October 12, 2016

There will be a 7th and 8th grade girls' basketball meeting after school on Thursday, October 13 in the old gym.

Congratulations to the following Interpers for their outstanding performance yesterday:  Superior Plus- AnneMarie Smith and Tylan Glover- Duo; Superior- Samantha Pappas and Alyssa Fordham- duo, Excellent Plus- Sage Mortenson and Tiara DeHoet- Duo, Hailey Monson- poetry, Katlyn Kyar- storytelling, Kayla Jensen, KaSandra Pappas, Katlyn Kyar, Rylee Rosenau- Readers Theater; Excellent- Sage Mortenson, Tiara DeHoet, Alyssa Fordham, Samantha Pappas- Readers Theater.

Oral Interp Students please sign up for the NSU oral interp contest by Tuesday, October 18. The sign-up sheet is on Mrs. Gonsoir's door.

Table Talks today.

There will be a drama club meeting during lunch on Thursday, October 13 in Mrs. Honerman's room. Lunch will be served, but please bring your own beverage.

The October FCCLA meeting will be on Thursday, Oct. 13 during lunch.  Lunch will be served.  New members welcome!

There are NEC Champs/11B Playoff Shirt order forms in the office.  Money and forms are due to the office by noon on October 14.

OST is placing a second t-shirt/sweatshirt order.  Money and forms are due to the office by October 14. 

Parent's night for volleyball will be held on Monday, October 17th.  All "C" team, junior varsity and varsity players need to give Mrs. Hoffman $3.00 prior to this date.

JH and HS Band students: Please bring a pan of bars wrapped and cut by Friday for the marching festival. You may start bringing them as early as Thursday.

Grades 6-12 Student Health Screening (height/weight, vision, hearing, and scoliosis) will be on Thursday, October 13.  Grades 7 and 9 and all new students will have their vision tested so please wear your contacts or glasses on that day. 

Lifetouch pictures will be taken at the high school on Thursday, October 13.  If you didn’t get an envelope stop in the office.  Pictures can be ordered on line with the Picture Day ID:  GF026088Y0 at mylifetouch.com.

Grade 9:  Pathway forms were mailed home on Friday to your parents – this is the form we talked about last week during science.  Please work with your parents to choose a pathway and then return the last page to Mrs. Sternhagen as soon as possible.  Please see Mrs. Sternhagen if you have any more questions.

Grade 10:  Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership application essay due to Mrs. Sternhagen by Friday, October 14.  Please answer the questions in an essay format – typed, Times New Roman, 12.  Please turn in at least a ½ page essay.

Grades 11-12:  The following college representatives will be in the School Counseling Office to visit with students.  Please make arrangements with your teachers.
