MS/HS Bulletin April 29

Student Bulletin

The library will be closing on May 11.  All books need to be turned in on or before May 11. 

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Track & Field teams for their performances yesterday at the Groton Kiwanis Relays!  The Girls placed 1st in Team Points and Boys placed 2nd....Great Job Athletes!  Also, we had two athletes that received individual awards for their performances!  Audrey Wanner was the Dick Donovan Field Events MVP and Landon Larson was the Jay Swisher Running Events MVP.....Congrats Audrey and Landon! 

Groton Area DI will be serving pork loin sandwiches and hotdogs prior to the Elementary Concert on May 5.  Serving will be from 5-7 pm in the HS gym.

Students planning to watch the Groton JH Track Meet on Thursday, April 30 are reminded of School Board Policy:  Students wishing to attend 6-12 extra-curricular activities during the school day must have a parent notify the office one day in advance.  All work must be completed prior to being excused.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

Cheerleader sign-up sheet is on the counter in the office.

All football players going to the Valley City Team Camp give your registration form to Mr. Wanner this week. 

Groton Baseball, Softball and T-Ball Registration forms are in the office.
Groton Softball (13 – 18 year olds) registration forms are in the office. 

Sophomores and juniors who are interested in taking Dual Credit courses this summer and/or next year meet in the Physics Room during advisory today.

Congratulations to Maddie C who was selected by the Kiwanis as the Community Service Scholarship recipient. 

Grades 10-11:  Free Summer Health Academy at Avera St. Lukes and Presentation.  Learn about athletic training, cardiopulmonary, laboratory, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, respiratory therapy, social work, speech therapy and surgery.  June 9-11.   Fill out form, essay, recommendation from a teacher/counselor who knows you well, and transcript (request from office).  Deadline is May 2 (must be to Avera St. Luke’s by May 4).  Forms are available from Mrs. Sternhagen.

Grade 12:  Please return ACT Books:  Ashley G, Devon P, Logan L, Karla C
