MS/HS Bulletin April 14

Student Bulletin

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton senior class youth will meet Wednesday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m. for your class photo and to plan Graduation Mass. 

Congratulations to Courtney K for being selected to the Aberdeen American News All-Area Girls Basketball Team. 

Table Talks will not meet today.  You will meet tomorrow.

Prom attendees--if your date is not from Groton you must submit a reference that is to be completed by your guest's school; these can be picked up in the office or the library.  These must be completed and returned by Thursday April 16th.  Please be aware that your guest must also be prepared to present photo identification.

Sign up for Grand March and Post Prom in the library! Post Prom must be paid by Thursday, April 16!

Mr. Donley has a mechanical type summer job for a sophomore, junior or senior.  See Mr. Donley if interested.

Juniors be ready to start working after school on the Prom! Meet in the Art room first.

There will be an FBLA meeting for those attending the Spring Leadership Conference tomorrow (Wed.), during advisory in Ms. Lingbeck’s room. 

Spring sports memory mate schedule:
Junior high track April 17th 3:00 at the track.
Girls’ golf April 17th at 3:30ish at the golf course.
High School Track April 27th 3:00 at the track.
Envelopes are in the office.

Any girls who are interested in modeling your prom dress in the FCCLA Style Show on April 30, please come sign up in the FACS room.
  
FCCLA is looking for individuals or groups to sing at the style show.  If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Tietz.

Brown County Emergency Management will be portraying a mock crash on Thursday, April 16th for grades 9-12.  Students will be dismissed to the arena parking lot after attendance at 8:30.  The entire process is thought to probably take 2 1/2 hours. 

DI is hosting their 3rd Annual Race to Globals on April 18.  Registration sheets are in the office.  Details at aberdeenarearunningclub.com or sclark@nvc.net

ICU will be in Mrs. Honerman’s room until further notice.

Good luck to the track team.  You will be dismissed at 10:30a.m.  Students working at the track meet will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.

Testing 2015:  Grades 11

DSTEP science testing grades 8 and 11 will take place during science class. 

SD National Guard Career Days in Sioux Falls April 29 8:30 – 1:00 pm  There will be an extensive base tour, jets taking off, lunch and door prizes!  Contact (605) 728.1907 by April 15 to reserve your spot

Grades 11-12:   Reminder of things to do for the ACT Test on Saturday, April 18th in Aberdeen or Groton.   Bring your admission ticket and a driver’s license (photo ID), 2 calculators, pencils with erasers, a watch, and possibly a water bottle.  Be sure and show up at the testing location at least 15 minutes early.  It might be a good idea to review last minute formulas and rules.  No caps are to be worn during testing.  No beverage will be allowed in the testing area.  No cell phones are to be used at any time during test (including the break). Testing should conclude around noon.  Those who are taking the writing assessment should be done by 12:45 p.m.  Be sure and do the practice test prior to the test.  Stop by the GO if you need an extra copy.
