JH track girls (7, 8, 9) turn in your uniforms and pick up your ribbons from Mr. Wanner

 

All juniors going on the Washington DC/New York City trip will meet in Mr Thorson’s room during advisory.   Please plan to attend. (Check in with your advisory teacher prior to going to Mr. Thorson’s room.)  Also there is a parents/students meeting for Tuesday May 27th at 6:00 in the arena. Students and parents MUST attend.

 

Vocal students: If you plan to take summer lessons from Mr. Swanson, you MUST bring your form and $60 check as soon as possible. Monday is the latest we can take the forms. 

 

Students if you didn't get an acceleration registration form from Mr. Thorson, please stop by his room to pick one up. Registration forms are due May 22nd and the program starts Monday, June 2nd.

 

There is a Robotics sign-up sheet in the office for the 2014-2015 school year.

 

Drivers Ed meeting today during advisory in Mr. Wanner’s classroom.   It will be announced when you are to go to the meeting.

 

Grades 8-11 football meeting on Tuesday during advisory in Mr. Wanner’s classroom.  It will be announced when you are to go to the meeting.

 

Grades 8-11 girls’ basketball meeting on Wednesday during advisory in Mr. Wanner’s classroom.  It will be announced when you are to go to the meeting

 

The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary are looking for volunteers to help get the cemetery ready for Memorial Day.  Today we are planning on planting flowers and setting up for the Memorial Day dinner at 5:00 p.m. and will stake flags on the veteran’s graves at 6:00 p.m.

 

Reminder of the School Board policy if you are planning to attend the D.A.R.E. Graduation on Tuesday, May 20.  Students are not allowed to attend regular elementary school activities which are held during the school day unless they are watching a sibling, they are accompanied by a parent and are not on the ineligibility list.  All students meeting the aforementioned criteria and who are planning on attending must have their parents notify the office at least one day in advance.  Any violation will result in an unexcused absence. 

 

Computer Check in Dates:

All Juniors – Monday, May 19

All Sophomores – Tuesday, May 20

 

The Dynamics Dance Team tryouts for the 2014/2015 team will be held on Sunday, June 22 from 4:00 – to 6:00 p.m. with auditions at 6:00 p.m. in the Groton Area Arena.  There is an information sheet and a sign- up sheet in the office. 

 

Jr. High students that are on the ineligibility list must check in with Mrs. Duncan everyday this week. 

 

Good luck to the track team at Sisseton today.  You will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m.

 

2^nd Annual 5K Walk/Run or Bike is Saturday, May 17.  There are registration forms in the office.   

 

Graduation is Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

 

Good luck to the girls golfers at the State Golf Tournament in Spearfish on Monday and Tuesday!

 

Grades 6-8 Students of the Month will go on Monday, May 19^th at 2:30 to the Dairy Queen for an ice-cream treat.   Please meet in the office
