The
American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary are looking for
volunteers to help get the cemetery ready for Memorial Day. On Monday,
May 19 we are planning on planting flowers and setting
up for the Memorial Day dinner at 5:00 p.m. and will stake flags on the
veteran’s graves at 6:00 p.m.
Group
activity pictures for the yearbook will be during advisory on
Wednesday. Seniors, if you are involved in any activities and would
like to be pictured as part of the group, please
report to the library at 3:00 on Wednesday.
There will be a Girls Volleyball meeting after school on Wednesday for grades 8 – 11 in Mr. Kurths’ room.
Reminder
of the School Board policy if you are planning to attend the Elementary
Track and Field Day on Monday, May 19 or D.A.R.E. Graduation on
Tuesday, May 20.
Students are not allowed to attend regular elementary school
activities which are held during the school day unless they are watching
a sibling, they are accompanied by a parent and are not on the
ineligibility list. All students meeting the aforementioned
criteria and who are planning on attending must have their parents
notify the office at least one day in advance. Any violation will
result in an unexcused absence.
The library will be closing on May 14. Students need to have all books in by Wednesday, May 14.
All
boys in grades 8-11 who intend to play basketball next season should
meet in Mr. Kjellsen's room on Wednesday, May 14th at 3:30 for a very
short meeting.
Show
Choir auditions for the 2014-2015 school year will be Thursday, May 15,
with choreography beginning right after school. Stop in the music room
to sign up for an audition time.
See Mrs. Yeaton for vocal audition materials if you have not received
them yet.
Attention
students auditioning for show choir: Mrs. Yeaton will work on the vocal
portion of the audition during advisory Monday through Thursday. Meet
her on the stage if you
want help.

All Juniors – Monday, May 19
All Sophomores – Tuesday, May 20
The
Dynamics Dance Team tryouts for the 2014/2015 team will be held on
Sunday, June 22 from 4:00 – to 6:00 p.m. with auditions at 6:00 p.m. in
the Groton Area Arena. There is an information sheet
and a sign- up sheet in the office.
Juniors
that have not picked up their prom decorating items (extension cords,
lights, tools) can find their stuff in Mr. Franken’s classroom.
2nd Annual 5K Walk/Run or Bike is Saturday, May 17. There are registration forms in the office.
Jr. High students that are on the ineligibility list must check in with Mrs. Janene Harry everyday this week.
Good luck to the track team at Britton today. You will be dismissed at 11:30. Bus leaves at 12:00.
