MS/HS Bulletin November 16

Table Talks today.



MS/HS Lifetouch picture retakes are on Thursday, November 17.   If your pictures did not turn out and you want a retake bring your pictures back.



Any senior who was absent Tuesday and did not get a graduation packet from Jostens, please see Meri Erickson.



*Jostens will be back on Monday, Nov. 21 from 11:30-12:30 in the conference room for anyone who wants to place an order.



Auditions for the high school one act, “Shakespeare for Kids!” are Monday, November 21 in Mrs. Honerman’s room at 5:00. If you are unable to attend, please let Mrs. Honerman know BEFORE so she can schedule another audition time for you. Please bring a list of all conflicts between November 28 - February 4, including Christmas break. Anyone interested in being a part of the one act – including working backstage – needs to attend auditions. Please let Mrs. Honerman know if you have any questions!



There will be an FFA meeting after school on Wednesday in Mr. Franken’s room.



United Methodist Church confirmation - we will not be meeting at 6:00.  Confirmation and youth group - We will be meeting at the Spintacular assembly at 6:45 on Wednesday in the Arena by the ticket booth. We will get your tickets then.



Any students planning to register for a dual credit course this spring, please meet with Dr. Schwan and Mrs. Sternhagen today at 2:10 in the library conference room.  This meeting is not optional; please make arrangements to attend.



The post season volleyball sign-up sheet, for grade 9-11, is on the counter in the office. 



The following students still need to turn their JH Marching Band T-shirt to Mrs. Yeigh or pay $9.00: Lucas Simon, Eh Tha You Say, Sarah Jacobs.



All girls’ 9-12 interested in going out for basketball plan to attend a meeting on Wednesday, November 16 at 3:30 in Mr. Wanner’s classroom.  Practice starts Monday, November 21st.



All football players turn in uniforms by Friday. 



Give Joy the Christmas!  Pack a shoebox with gifts for children around the world with Operation Christmas Child.  These presents help spread joy to kids where they seldom see anything joyful.  Talk to Mr. Franken, Mrs. Tietz, or Miss Lingbeck for more information on how to pack your shoebox.  Please bring your boxes by Thursday, Nov 17th.



Grades 9-12 boys’ basketball meeting in Mr Kurths room Wednesday, November 16th right after school.



Groton Youth Rally will feature the Bruce Crevier family and their Spin-tacular Basketball program called Champions Forever, at the Groton Area High School Arena. The Rally will be on Wed., Nov. 16th at 7pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm.

Please reserve this night for a great time here in Groton and bring the whole family. Tickets will be sold for $5 in advance at the Groton Dairy Queen and Aberdeen Anchors of Faith, and $5 at the door, family rate- $20.  You may call for tickets or more information at 377-0709 or 397-8647. All ages are welcome!!



Snow Queen Talent Competition forms are in the office.  Those performing will have run-through on Thursday, November 17 at 3:30 PM. Preliminary cuts may be made if there is a large number of performers.



 
Grades 11-12:  Dual Credit meeting on Wednesday at 2:10 in the conference room for all students interested in taking courses this spring semester. 
 
Grade 12:  Financial Aid Information Night (FAIN) folders will be passed out to all the students who did not attend on Wednesday during English 12.  Please fill out and submit your FAFSA soon using your 2015 tax information.
 
Grade 12:  NCRC Testing has been re-scheduled for December 2nd.  We will keep the same testing times and groups.  Please let Mrs. Sternhagen know if you have questions.
  
Grades 11-12:  The following college representatives will be in the School Counseling Office to visit with students.  Please make arrangements with your teachers.
