MS/HS Bulletin March 31

Student Bulletin

Yearbook meeting in room 304 tomorrow (Wednesday) during advisory.

Sign up for Grand March and Post Prom in the library!

Wednesday during advisory there will be a meeting for all Groton City Pool Lifeguards in the library!

Mrs. Donley’s advisory will meet in the physics room (room 304) today. 

All incoming 9th-12th grade girls that are planning on playing volleyball next year please meet Thursday, during advisory, in the arena.  Check in with your advisory teacher before going to the arena.

Students--if you leave your property (band instruments, backpacks, binders, coats, books, etc,) in the hallway, we cannot guarantee its safety.  In other words, you run the risk of your stuff being stolen, thrown away, or turned in to the lost and found.  If you receive a tardy for having to look for your belongings between classes it will not be excused.  This is not new.  If you have any questions please let me know.  Mrs. Schwan

The Aberdeen YMCA is offering archery classes to student’s ages 8-18.  Registration forms are in the office.

3rd Annual DI Race to Globals 5K Walk/Run/Bike or Relays will be Saturday April 18.  Deadline for t-shirt guarantee is April 2.  There are registration sheets in the office.

The April FCCLA meeting will be on Tuesday, March 31 during advisory.  Check in with your advisory teacher before you go to the meeting.

Congratulations to Micah P for earning sixteenth place at the South Dakota State MathCounts Competition in Pierre on Saturday, March 14!

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton youth, Grades 9 through 12, will meet Wednesday, March 18th for Living Stations practice.

Congratulations to Courtney K for being selected to 1st NEC Team and Carly W to 3rd NEC Team.

The girls that are reading during Summer Library this year please check your email and to get in touch with Carla Kjelden:  Maggie S, Kari H, Maddie C, Allison W, Haley U and Jamie K.

Debate will be having Wake Up Wednesday on March 18, 2015 in the arena lobby. Cappuccino, puppy chow, and other treats will be available starting at 7:30 AM. Stock up on your treats for the band trip and spring break!

Junior High girls interested in track -- there will be a short meeting today at 3:15 in Mr. Wanner’s room.
There will be a meeting for the current and new National Honor Society members on Wed. March 18 in the conference room during advisory.  Please attend.  Thank you.
Breakfast trays and/or food is not to be taken out of the lunchroom.  Eat in the gym not in the hallways or the classrooms.
Students--look at the dress code in the handbook.  If you choose to wear clothing that is not appropriate (which includes shorts that are too short, spaghetti strap tank-tops, and dresses that are too short) you will be asked to change.  I could easily go through a list of clothing that is inappropriate for school, but I'm expecting you to use your judgment.  If you aren't sure whether something is considered distracting I would be happy to help you.  If your clothing is distracting don't be surprised if you are asked to change.
