There is a sign-up sheet in the office for Dance Team Try-outs for the 17-18 school year.

 

All girls’ grades 8-11 planning to play basketball next year, there will be a short meeting on Thursday right after school in Mr. Wanner’s classroom.

 

All library books are due on or before May 12!

Britton-Hecla Student Council is sponsoring a Bean Bag Tournament on Saturday, May 13 for grades 7-12.  For more information see the flyer outside the office door.  Teams must be registered by May 5.  

 

FBLA meeting Thursday, May 4th during lunch in Ms. Lingbeck's room.  Bring your own lunch!

 

DI is serving Pork Loin meals prior to the MS/HS Spring Concert on Thursday May 4th.   Pork loins can be pre-ordered and are available for ordering at this time.  Order forms are in the office.

Congratulations to the 12^th Graders who qualified for the President’s Award for Educational Excellence. Criteria include a grade point average of 3.5 or above and standardized test achievement at the 85th percentile or higher in math or reading.  Those qualifying in the Class of 2017 are:  Nathan Fjelstad, Patrick Gengerke, Alexis Harder, Thane Henschel, Landon Marzahn, Keri Pappas, Erin Smith, and Trey Wright.  
 
Congratulations to the American Legion Citizenship Award Winners Keri Pappas and Landon Marzahn.  One senior boy and one girl are chosen. on the basis of honor, courage, scholarship, leadership, and service.

Grades 11-12  ACT:  Registration for the June 10 test is due online by May 5, 2017 .  Register at www.actstudent.org   and pay with a credit card.  You will test in Aberdeen or Groton but be sure to list Groton as your home school.  Remember you must upload a photo to register and then print the admission ticket.  Fee waivers are available – stop by the GO.  Other test dates are: Sept. Oct. and Dec.   See Mrs. Sternhagen if you have questions.
